Curriculum & Education

Overview

The Robert J. Tomsich Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic offers a four-year anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP) training program. Residents rotate in anatomic pathology during the first year and clinical pathology during the second year, focusing on one discipline each year. The third year emphasizes anatomic pathology rotations with several elective rotations, and the fourth year combines clinical pathology rotations with elective time.

Application

Deadline to apply is December 31. Applicants are encouraged to submit their application in September. Required documents include complete ERAS application, medical school transcript, personal statement, three letters of recommendation, photo (preferred), MSPE, USMLE and/or COMLEX scores.

Salary & Benefits

Benefits Overview

Each resident receives an annual $1000 book allowance, meeting fund of $2,500 per meeting for up to two meetings per year in PGYs 2, 3, and 4, an on-site fitness center and gym free for residents, and other educational and financial resources.
