Curriculum & Education
Overview
The residency curriculum is rigorous and designed to prepare residents for intense clinical practice. More than half of the training occurs directly in the Emergency Department (ED), with multiple off-service rotations in critical care. The academic schedule is divided into three 13-block sections, each focused on different aspects of emergency medicine and critical care training.

Fellowship
The Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Specialty Track is designed for residents who wish to deepen their expertise in the care of acutely ill and injured children. Residents on this track will spend additional time in the Pediatric Emergency Department, working closely with the Pediatric Emergency Medicine education team to develop clinical excellence. Other specialty track options include Research, Ultrasound, Critical Care, EMS, Administrative Leadership.
